Banquet Table Sizes #Infographic #Event

This infographic answers a common question in the special events business about different sizes of banquet tables as well as how many people can be seated at a banquet table. That is perhaps the most common question, because event planners and individuals putting on feasts need to make plans for space arrangements, rent tables or book a venue based on the tables they have available.

This information can be found on the internet, but only in paragraph form or difficult to read charts. Our infographic provides a quick reference for anyone hosting an event to know how many people will be seated at any banquet table size and shape, allowing for efficient and imaginative use of space. This infographic not only includes the most common sizes of banquet tables, but some of the harder to find sizes and shapes available. This is particularly useful when someone is looking to purchase tables for their event venue or is planning a wedding. Our goal in creating this was to provide a handy, fast resource for anyone making event plans.

Accessible attractions around the UK #Infographic #Accessibility

Companion Stairlifts have recently created an infographic both highlighting and publicizing attractions in the UK that are leading the way when it comes to both accessible facilities and inclusive attitudes. Those who have limited mobility often struggle to plan days out due to limited information about attractions or limited services when they arrive there. By showing attractions across the UK that include lots of different interests and hobbies, there is a hope that these struggles will lessen while praising the attractions that are doing so well to make everyone feel included.

With relaxed lanes in supermarkets and quiet hours in certain shops, being inclusive and thoughtful is now becoming a focal point of many campaigns which is increasing social awareness and therefore an understanding of the struggles that many face. Some of the attractions included are famous worldwide, other are more local but no less accessible and exciting in the services they offer.

Cheltenham – a festival where even longshots make it #Infographic #Cheltenham

While there are many things that we readily associate with the Cheltenham – the Gold Cup, the Champion Hurdle, the healthy Irish contingent, the endless ales – it’s easy to overlook the number of outside chances that have secured a place in the winner’s circle. In the last decade alone, the festival has seen thoroughbreds break the line first despite odds so long, you’d think even placing would be a pipe dream. Take Rebecca Curtis’s Irish Cavalier which overcame a pricing of 66/1 to triumph in the 2015 Close Brothers’ Handicap Chase.

Even Cheltenham’s showpiece events have been gate-crashed by outsiders. From the Nicky Henderson-owned 22/1 shot Punjabi triumphing in the 2009 Champion Hurdle to Jim Culloty’s Lady Windermere capturing the 2014 Gold Cup at 20/1 – the size of the prize doesn’t mean it’s out of the reach of the also-ran.

Head further back in time and you’ll find even bigger surprises. L’Escargot was one of the few horses to win both the Gold Cup and the Grand National, but its first Cheltenham victory came despite being the bookies all but writing him off as a 33/1 shot. Put another way, when the 2017 Festival gets underway of 2017, don’t be surprised if at least one unfancied stead steals a place on top of the pile.
