Smoking vs Vaping – And Their Effects on the Environment #infographic

Smoking is an addictive habit that millions of people in the world are unable to kick. And that’s despite all of the well-known health risks and economical expenses involved in smoking cigarettes. But what you might not be aware of is that there are also other significant negative effects: the environmental ones.

According to this infographic by EsmokerCanada, 5 and a half trillion cigarettes are consumed every year. That entails the cutting down of 1.5 million trees a day. Moreover, cigarette smoke pollutes the environment far worse than diesel car emissions do. Finally, add to it that the trillions of thrown out cigarette butts take up to 12 years to disintegrate.

With that many environmental problems, it is safe to assume that you might want to consider a greener alternative like e-cigs. E-cigs are recyclable and reusable, and they don’t have or release, not by far, as many chemicals as cigarettes. So maybe you should go for this other option and help your health, your pocket and the environment.
