Things Happening While Flying #infographic #flying

Love the safety of air travel? Someone else is handling the transportation while you just sit back and relax. Or maybe flying fills you with dread. Sure, you understand the physics of flight, but when you’re taxiing at takeoff, Newton’s Third Law seems awfully flimsy. Wherever you fall on the spectrum, you’ve got to acknowledge that there are some really weird situations you can encounter when flying. From making your reservations to landing safely, you want the whole process to go smoothly. And it usually does.

There are surprising hacks that’ll make flying easier before you even set foot on the plane. You know you should book in advance, but 47 days before your flight is the optimum time to get the best seats at the best price. Did you know that some airlines board their plans by check-in times? Don’t be dead last, or you’ll be searching every single overhead compartment for room to fit your bag.

And speaking of bags… Check out the infographic below to learn about the best ways to get through security and more!

Vietnam Travel Guide to Ho Chi Minh City #infographic #Vietnam #travel

Ho Chi Minh City rose up from the small fishing village, Saigon. Under French rule the city prospered, in 1887 it became the capital of Union of Indochina and in 1954 it became the capital of South Vietnam.

Saigon was hit hard by the 1968 Tet Offensive, with hundreds of thousands of refugees seeking housing and food, it was impossible for the city to keep up. In 1975, the city fell back under Communist rule. Saigon would soon be renamed Ho Chi Minh after the former North Vietnamese president (1890-1969). Today, the city is the seat of the Saigon Opera House, War Remnant Museum, and Ho Chi Minh University.

Over the course of many years, the city has become one of the hottest tourist destinations in the world, thanks to its historical value and amazing attractions. Commerce and culture drive the city and give it a modern feel, while some areas are more urban and historical. Whether you wish to explore the culture and cuisine of Vietnam or want to learn about the Vietnam War, you’ll be able to fulfil your desires by visiting this city. How Heroin Travels in the US #Infographic #heroin #US

This infographic shows how heroin has changed from a mostly urban problem in the United States to one mostly found in suburban and rural areas. Both the area and typical user of heroin have changed since the 1960’s. Most users are now white, young adults, and in equal parts men and women. In fact, about 90% of first-time users in the last decade were white.

So, what’s causing the increased usage? There are a few reasons that take centre stage – increasing scarcity of prescription opiates used to treat pain, heroin is more available than ever before, heroin is decreasing in price but also increasing in purity, and first-time users are naive about the dangers of addiction.

Now that we’ve answered the “why”, it’s time to address the “who.” The DEA has identified Mexico, Dominican Republic, and Colombia as major exporters of heroin to the United States. As the Northeast has the greatest amount of concern for heroin addiction, intercepting heroin routes will be key to preventing dealers from getting their supply. Hopefully, law enforcement and medical professionals will also be able to work together to help addicts heal.
