Guinness: A journey across the globe #infographic

With Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations still fresh, it’s a great opportunity to get to know more about one of its main components: Guinness beer! This famous ale has its origins in New Year’s Eve of 1759 when Arthur Guinness leased what is now St. James’ Gate Brewery in Dublin to start brewing his own ale. A few decades later, he decided to start perfecting a bold, black beer. This new brew became the famous, international flagship drink of Guinness.

Nowadays, 1’5 billion pints of Guinness are drunk annually, 7’5 millions of those just during Saint Patrick’s Day.
